We list this because of its scale, and we want the first thing anyone reads about it to be that it is a trade fair. WorldFood Istanbul exists for importers, distributors, wholesalers, manufacturers and buyers. It is not a festival, and turning up hoping to eat your way through it is a misreading of what it is.

The numbers are why it is on Radar at all. The 2025 edition drew a reported 80,000-plus visitors, including 20,000 from abroad across 153 countries, plus more than 900 buyers from 100 countries. That puts it among the largest single events Istanbul hosts in any given year, and the December edition lands in a quiet week for the city otherwise.

The venue matches the scale. Istanbul Fuar Merkezi in Yesilkoy covers 249,000 square metres across eleven halls, with 98,000 square metres of leasable exhibition space, eight halls run by CNR Expo and three by WTC Istanbul. It sits beside the former Ataturk Airport at the western end of the European side.

The one way this genuinely touches a nightlife business is hotel and transport demand: 20,000 international trade visitors arriving in the same week fill rooms on the European side and put pressure on the airport transfer routes, in a December week that would otherwise be slow.

The fairground is served directly by the M1A metro line at DTM, Istanbul Fuar Merkezi station, which is the simplest way in and avoids the parking entirely.

From Istanbul Airport, the usual route is an HVIST bus towards the city and a transfer onto the M1A, typically at Atakoy-Sirinevler. From the historic peninsula and Yenikapi the M1A runs directly.

By car it is close to the ring roads and has a large car park, but during a fair of this size the metro is faster in both directions.

Trade registration rather than a public ticket. Registration is handled through the organiser's site and is aimed at people attending for a business reason, so it is not an event a general visitor typically attends.

There is no consumer ticket price to quote, and any site offering one is not selling access to this fair.

Food and beverage industry professionals: buyers, distributors, importers, wholesalers, manufacturers and their suppliers. That is the entire intended audience.
