Istanbul Cocktail Festival

This is the closest thing on Radar to Saucy's own territory, and the one entry here we would attend ourselves rather than simply report on. It is an open-air festival built around cocktail bars rather than around a stage: the format is tasting stands run by named Istanbul bars, craft and mixology workshops, and a live programme of bands and DJs running through the day and into the evening.

It has become frequent enough to run twice in 2026, with a June edition on the 20th and 21st and this second one on 19 and 20 September, both at LifePark. That matters practically, because it means missing one is not a year's wait, and it means the September edition should not be assumed to carry the identical bar list or lineup to June.

The venue choice is the defining feature. LifePark is an outdoor event site set inside forest in Bahcekoy, Sariyer, at the northern edge of the city, which gives the festival a genuinely different atmosphere from a rooftop or a waterfront club night. It also makes it a commitment: this is a day out, not a stop on a night.

One honest caveat. Cocktail festivals live or die on which bars actually turn up, and that list is published per edition and shifts between them. If you are going for a specific bar, confirm on the official programme rather than on last edition's coverage.

LifePark is in Bahcekoy, Sariyer, roughly 7 km from Maslak and about a ten-minute drive from Hacosman metro station at the northern end of the M2 line. It is considerably further out than most venues on this list and there is no station within walking distance.

The reliable pattern is M2 to Hacosman and then a short taxi or a shuttle. Events at LifePark have historically run free shuttle services from Hacosman on event days, but that is arranged per event rather than permanently, so check the festival's own page before relying on it.

By bus, the 42HM, 42M, 42T, 42 and 153 lines run towards Hacosman and Bahcekoy. By car, the approach is from the Maslak and Sariyer direction via Bahcekoy, and parking at the site is the usual arrangement for events there.

Getting back is the part to plan. This is a drinks festival at the edge of the city, and the sensible plan is a designated driver, a pre-booked ride, or the shuttle if one is running. Do not improvise this at 1am in a forest.

Entry is ticketed, sold through the usual Turkish ticketing platforms and the festival's own site. The ticket covers admission and the live performances.

Drinks are not included and are bought inside separately, as are the paid workshops. Budget the ticket as the entry fee to a bar crawl rather than as the cost of the evening: what you actually spend is decided by how many stands you work through.

We are not quoting a ticket price here because it is set per edition and per release tier, and a stale figure would be worse than none. The official site is the place to check it.

Anyone who has been meaning to try a set of Istanbul bars they have not got around to. A tasting-stand format is a much cheaper way to do that than a night in each.

It is not a family festival and it is not a music festival with a bar attached. The drinks are the point and the music is the setting.
